- DAY 1 Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. [Overnight Kathmandu]
- DAY 2 Kathmandu Sight Seeing: Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath and Pasupatinath [Overnight Kathmandu]
- Pashupatinath: The temple of Lord Shiva, Pasupatinath with a two tiered golden roof and silver doors. This structure is famous for its superb Newari architecture. It is situated near the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Entrance to the temple precinct is permitted to the “Hindus Only”, however visitors can clearly see the temple from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River. Pashupati, literally, “Lord of the Animals” is the patron deity of Nepal and believed to have been unearthed by an obscure herdsman while one of his cattle was showering the earth with milk. Across the sacred river, above the array of decorated monuments, is the “Sleshmantak or Mrigasthali Ban (forest)” where legends has it that Lord Shiva dwelled in a form of an antelope to evade the hordes of demigods.
- Bouddhanth: This colossal and ancient Stupa, one of Nepal’s most unique monuments and said to be the world’s biggest, attracts Nepalese pilgrimage of Tibetan stock from as far as Dolpo and Mugu as well as Tibet, Ladhak in India and Bhutan. Boudhanath Stupa, with all seeing eyes of primordial Adi Buddha on all the four sides of the stupa, is said to hold the remains of Kasyapa – the Buddha of the previous time. The Stupa is 100 meters in diameter and was built on an octagonal base. Inset into the base are prayer wheels established by the Lichchivi King Mana Deva in the fifth century. The stupa rises to 36 meters above the base including the spire, “all seeing eyes” and the pinnacle represents the stages of enlightenment, symbol of royalty, compassion, knowing and nirvana. There are many myths about the origins of the stupa. We’ll have lunch here after the sightseeing (around 1330hrs).
- Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple): One of the world’s most glorious, ancient, enigmatic and the holiest of Buddhist Chaityas, dating back more than 2600 years. Situated on a hillock Swayambhunath, literally “the Self-Created or Existent”, is a mosaic of small stupas and pagoda temple contributed over time by the succession of Kings and Noblemen. The main structure of the stupa is made of a solid hemisphere of brick and clay, supporting a lofty conical spire and capped by pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sides on the base of the spire are the “All Seeing Eyes” of Lord Buddha. The main features of Swayambhunath in brief are “The Five Buddhas.”
- Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur Durbar Kshetra) in front of the old royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom is one of three Durbar (royal palace) Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Kathmandu Durbar Square held the palaces of the Malla and Shah kings who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quadrangles, revealing courtyards and temples. It is known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, a name derived from a statue of Hanuman, the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, at the entrance of the palace.
- Day 03 Drive to Pokhara [Overnight Pokhara] : We continue our drive towards Pokhara, the most famous lake city in Nepal.
- DAY 04 Full day Sightseeing tour in Pokhara [Overnight Pokhara] : After Breakfast, we visit places like Fewa Lake, Museums & Tibetan refugee settlement. Overnight at hotel with breakfast included. We continue the sightseeing in Pokhara and visit the famous Devis fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Mahendra Gufa. Pokhara (900m) is a beautiful valley with a panoramic view of Annapurna and Machhapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north and Dhaulagiri in the west and, Lamjung himal and Manaslu in the east. Machhapuchare is just 28 km from your hotel! It looms large infront of you. Pokhara has several lakes; among them Phewa Tal (lake) is a major attraction. Most of the hotels, lodges and eating places are located on the eastern edge of the lake. It is one of the favourite tourist destination next to Kathmandu. Imagine a perfect triangular mountain, capped by snow and buffeted by the icy winds of the Himalaya. Imagine a millpond calm lake, perfectly reflecting the snowy peaks. Now imagine a village on the lakeshore, thronged by travellers and reverberating to the sound of ‘om mani padme hum’ from a hundred shops selling prayer flags, carpets, masks, singing bowls and CDs of Buddhist mantras. That’s Pokhara.
- DAY 05 Drive to Chitwan National Park (4 – 5 hrs) [Overnight Chitwan] : After Breakfast, we drive to Chitwan National Park for the jungle activities; the drive takes us through the Highways of Nepal, where we can enjoy the view of Hills, Forrest and the Trishuli River. On Arrival in the jungle resort we will have a briefing of Jungle activities followed by the Village Tour in the Evening. The dinner is included on this day at the hotel.
- DAY 06 Full day Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park [Overnight Chitwan] : After Breakfast, the jungle activities include Boating & a Jungle Walk. After Lunch we continue the Jungle Safari, it could be Either Jeep Safari or Elephant Ride as per your preference. In the evening we enjoy the Dinner and Tharu Cultural Show.
- DAY 07 Drive Back to Kathmandu : After breakfast and a short walk for Bird watching, we drive back to Kathmandu. The drive back to Kathmandu from Chitwan is 181 KMs. The drive will take about 5 – 6 hrs.
- DAY 08 Departure from Kathmandu : Transfer to international airport for your final departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
